Last night, the Hanover-Horton girls track and field team traveled to Jonesville to compete against Napoleon and Jonesville in their first meet of the season.
There were several standout performances throughout the night. In the long jump, Lauren Bulgrien and Maddox took first and second place, with Lauren also achieving a personal record. Gabbie DeLosSantos had a strong showing in the high jump, earning first place.
The 4x800 relay team of Gabbie, Emery Day, Lauren, and Ellie worked well together to secure a second-place finish. Another strong relay performance came from the 4x200 team of Maddox, Lindee Smilowski, Charlotte Roedema, and Parker Brown, who also placed second.
Individually, Emery had an impressive race in the 200 hurdles, finishing in first place.
Overall, it was a great night for a meet, and the girls should be proud of how well they performed in their first competition of the season. Next up, the team heads to Grass Lake, where they will compete against Grass Lake and Michigan Center.
