The Hanover Horton Middle School Cross Country Team competed at the MHSAA Middle School Regional Meet. The girls team ran hard coming in 5th in the small school division. Ellie Swihart led the team with a 7th place finish, a new PR of 14:18, and only one shoe. She was the fastest 6th grade girl in the small school division and 5th if we count the large schools. Lauren Bulgrien finished with a great PR coming in 21st followed by Lucy Payne at 31st and Lauren Shannon at 37th.

The Junior Varsity boys race had four of Hanover's runners compete. Carson Poegel led the team in the JV race finishing 37th. Asher Zeffery followed with a PR to take 43rd. Billy Cure finished in 56th. Lucas Meyers ran a great PR to finish the season in the JV race.

The Varsity Boys came home with a Regional win in the small school division. We had 5 runners in the top 10 for the division. Tyler Harris came in 2nd to lead the team with a new PR of 11:39. Rudy Lowry also set a PR to finish 2nd. Eli Jurasek, Everett Marshall and Wyatt Hassenzhal finished 7th, 8th and 10th respectively. All of them set new Personal Records. Rounding out the varsity race was Anderson Cook finishing 25th and Jase Herendeen finishing at 41st.

This has been a great season for the Comets Cross Country team.
