Last night the Hanover Horton Middle School Boys Track team defeated Homer, 92 to 44. It was a very windy evening but the team pulled through with a great win.

 

In field events, Swihart and Buckingham were 1st and 2nd in polevault. Henry won shot put. Herendeen and Hamisfar went 2nd and 3rd in high jump, and Jurasek and Curtis were 2nd and 3rd in long jump.

 

For the running events, the relay team of Marshall, Jurasek, Toteff, and Herendeen won the 4x800m, Poegel and Curey went 1 and 2 in the 55m Hurdles,  and Johnson and Jackson were 2nd and 3rd in the 100m. The relay team of Curey, Deloria, Buckingham, and Marshall won the 4x200m, Marshall was 2nd in the 1600m, and Buckingham, Zeffery, and Britton swept the 400m. Hamisfar and Akers finished 1st and 3rd in the 70m, Herendeen and Marshall went 1st and 3rd in the 800m, and the relay team of Hamisfar, Jackson, Poegel, and Johnson won the 4x100m. Poegel was 2nd in the 200m Hurdles, Johnson and Swihart were 1st and 3rd in the 200m, and Jakubas and Bolen were 1st and 3rd in the 3200m. The relay team of Britton, Toteff, Jurasek, and Swihart finished the meet with a win in the 4x400m relay.

 

It was a great meet and we look forward to our first invite this Thursday at East Jackson.
