The boys cross country team won the Cascades Conference Championship outright on Wednesday narrowly edging out a tough Jonesville squad for first place. The team showed its depth with outstanding races by the entire team. Way to make Comet Nation proud!
Varsity Volleyball Champions at Spring Arbor University!
The varsity volleyball team won the championship on Saturday afternoon at Spring Arbor University! The team stayed hot with a victory in the finals over Western 25-11 and 25-18. Way to go ladies!

Girls XC Finishes Second at Meckley's Invite
Maisey Toteff led the way with a 1st place finish in 20:42. She was followed by Brynlee Swihart, who placed 9th in 23:42, and Holly Zantop, who ran a solid 24:29. The Comet girls finished 2nd overall as a team.
Boys XC Team Wins Meckley's Invitational!
Chad Tyson set the tone with a new personal record of 16:23. Cooper Flick added a strong 17:06, while Wyatt Hassenzahl crossed in 17:56. The Comet boys earned 1st place as a team, capping off an excellent season opener.

Varsity Girls End Season with Battle versus Grass Lake
Our Lady Comets saw their season come to an end after a hard fought battle with Grass Lake losing 47-58. The ladies left all they had on the court. Maggie Soper led the Comets with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal. Halee Krage had 10 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Aly Stroede had 9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. Congratulations to the Jackson United Hockey Team on their MHSAA Regional Championship Wednesday evening where they defeated Capital City 3-2. Hanover-Horton has three players on the team, Brennan Davis, Nixon Jones and Brennan Koszegi. The team will play next on Saturday in the state quarterfinals against Rockford. Good luck!

Saturday, Sophomore Austyn Hocter, Junior Levi Bradley, and Senior Captains AJ Fielder and Reed Matthews wrestled at regionals where the top 4 move onto states. All four wrestled tough competition. Levi had 5 of the top 12 in his weight class. Levi wrestled tough but went 0-2 and finishes his season in the top 32 in the state at the 157 weight class with a 27-20 record. Reed was 1 of 2 of the top wrestlers in the state in his region. He wrestled tough but fell short in the blood round of the tournament. He went 1-2 in the tournament and ends his season in the top 24 in the state with a 40-16 season record. Reed had a great career also with almost 200 matches under his belt, posting a 98-86 career record. He also holds the school season record escapes with 40. Last night your Comet wrestling team traveled to Perry for Team Regionals. In the semi-finals they faced #1 Hudson. They wrestled their best against a very tough team. They lost 75-6, with the only win coming from Austyn Hocter. The Comet wrestling team finishes the season as one of the top 32 teams in Division 4. We are all very proud of this young team for their commitment and achievements. Individually we are not done, as Senior Captains AJ Fielder, Reed Matthews, Junior Levi Bradley and Sophomore Austyn Hocter head to Whitmore Lake for Individual Regionals, where the top 4 head to Ford Field for Individual States.
