The boys cross country team won the Cascades Conference Championship outright on Wednesday narrowly edging out a tough Jonesville squad for first place. The team showed its depth with outstanding races by the entire team. Way to make Comet Nation proud!
Varsity Volleyball Champions at Spring Arbor University!
The varsity volleyball team won the championship on Saturday afternoon at Spring Arbor University! The team stayed hot with a victory in the finals over Western 25-11 and 25-18. Way to go ladies!

Girls XC Finishes Second at Meckley's Invite
Maisey Toteff led the way with a 1st place finish in 20:42. She was followed by Brynlee Swihart, who placed 9th in 23:42, and Holly Zantop, who ran a solid 24:29. The Comet girls finished 2nd overall as a team.
Boys XC Team Wins Meckley's Invitational!
Chad Tyson set the tone with a new personal record of 16:23. Cooper Flick added a strong 17:06, while Wyatt Hassenzahl crossed in 17:56. The Comet boys earned 1st place as a team, capping off an excellent season opener.

Last night the Comets, Warriors, Jayhawks and Cardinals won the battle with the snow outside and competed inside. Hanover-Horton wrestled against Vandercook Lake and Grass Lake, beating both. The Comets defeated Vandercook 71-0. Senior AJ Fielder won his 150th varsity match with a TF. The Comets then took on Grass Lake and won 40-26. Going 2-0 on the day was Garrett Frost, AJ Fielder, Levi Bradley, Slade Feller, Ronnie Jones, Austyn Hocter, and Reed Matthews. Bristen Cekander and Matt Buckingham both went 1-0. AJ Lusby, Nathan Willett, and Maelyn Frost went 1-1 on the day. The Lady Comets travel to Wylie E. Groves High School for the Lady Falcon invitational on Friday. 7th Grade Recap: The 7th Grade girls basketball team opened their season against Jonesville on Monday, but came up short is losing 45-12. Parker Brown led the team with 8 points. On Saturday, bot the girls and boys wrestling teams traveled to Olivet for individual tournaments. For the girls, Freshman Maelyn Frost finished 6th place going 2-3. Junior Aleah Gillett lost a hard fought match in the last round before placements going 2-2. On the boys side, we finished 7th out of 18 teams. Senior AJ Fielder lead the way going 4-0, all by pins, and winning the championship. Sophomore Austyn Hocter came home a runner up and went 2-1 with his 2 wins coming from pins. Senior Reed Matthews avenged an earlier loss to take 3rd place. He went 5-1. Freshman Ronnie Jones brought home a 5th place finish going 3-2. Junior Levi Bradley came home in 6th and went 3-3. Freshmen Travis Kruger, Britain Kabil and Nick Thomas each went 2-2 on the day. The team travels to Grass Lake on Wednesday to take on the Warriors and Vandercook Lake. Wrestling starts at 5:30pm. The Comets started hot, going up 9-0, were able to fend off some hot shooting from Addision and come away with a 85-59 win.
