The boys cross country team won the Cascades Conference Championship outright on Wednesday narrowly edging out a tough Jonesville squad for first place. The team showed its depth with outstanding races by the entire team. Way to make Comet Nation proud!
Varsity Volleyball Champions at Spring Arbor University!
The varsity volleyball team won the championship on Saturday afternoon at Spring Arbor University! The team stayed hot with a victory in the finals over Western 25-11 and 25-18. Way to go ladies!

Girls XC Finishes Second at Meckley's Invite
Maisey Toteff led the way with a 1st place finish in 20:42. She was followed by Brynlee Swihart, who placed 9th in 23:42, and Holly Zantop, who ran a solid 24:29. The Comet girls finished 2nd overall as a team.
Boys XC Team Wins Meckley's Invitational!
Chad Tyson set the tone with a new personal record of 16:23. Cooper Flick added a strong 17:06, while Wyatt Hassenzahl crossed in 17:56. The Comet boys earned 1st place as a team, capping off an excellent season opener.

Varsity Softball Splits with Homer
Game 1: Hanover-Horton 9 - Homer 7Amanda Ley drove in four runs on two hits to lead the Comets past the Trojans 9-7 on Monday. Ley hit a home run in the sixth inning, scoring three runs, while also doubling in the fourth inning, scoring one.The girls didn't take the lead until later in the game. They were down 7-6 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Ley homered to left field.Homer opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. The Comets jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after McKinzie Fox hit a sacrifice fly, Bryn Biela singled to center field, and Kendall Bevier singled, each scoring one run.With the score tied in the fourth, the Comets broke the tie game when Ley doubled, followed by a walk by Holly Zantop to extend the lead 6-4. There were many strong performances at Grass Lake last night as the team competed against Grass Lake and Michigan Center.Charlotte Roedema placed 3rd in the 200 meters, while Olivia Smoker earned 3rd in the 400 meters. Lauren Bulgrien had an impressive night, taking 2nd in both the 800 meters and long jump.Ellie Swihart captured 1st place in the 1500 meters, and Gabbie DeLosSantos dominated with 1st-place finishes in both the 3200 meters and high jump. The boys varsity golf team traveled to Michigan Center yesterday to play in the seasons first jamboree at Lakeland Hills. Battling the wind and the rain the Comet boys finished in a very close second place to Columbia Central. Ayden Boyk led the way with an impressive round to start the season off followed by Josh Bolton, Spencer Johnson, and Bristen Cekander to round out the top 4! This past weekend, your Comet wrestling season came to a close at the MHSAA Individual State Finals. Senior Captain AJ Fielder went 4-1, putting him 3rd in the state. His only loss was to the eventual state champ. What an awesome season and high school career. AJ ends his high school career with a 174-25 record with 104 pins. We look forward to watching his college career start at Davenport University next year. Sophomore Austyn Hocter went into the individual state tournament as the #2 seed, but pinned his way to the top of the podium. He pinned every opponent in the first period, including his finals match against Clinton. He becomes Hanover-Horton's first ever Sophomore State Champion.
