The boys cross country team won the Cascades Conference Championship outright on Wednesday narrowly edging out a tough Jonesville squad for first place. The team showed its depth with outstanding races by the entire team. Way to make Comet Nation proud!
Varsity Volleyball Champions at Spring Arbor University!
The varsity volleyball team won the championship on Saturday afternoon at Spring Arbor University! The team stayed hot with a victory in the finals over Western 25-11 and 25-18. Way to go ladies!

Girls XC Finishes Second at Meckley's Invite
Maisey Toteff led the way with a 1st place finish in 20:42. She was followed by Brynlee Swihart, who placed 9th in 23:42, and Holly Zantop, who ran a solid 24:29. The Comet girls finished 2nd overall as a team.
Boys XC Team Wins Meckley's Invitational!
Chad Tyson set the tone with a new personal record of 16:23. Cooper Flick added a strong 17:06, while Wyatt Hassenzahl crossed in 17:56. The Comet boys earned 1st place as a team, capping off an excellent season opener.

Comet Wrestling Has Strong Showing at Fowlerville Invite
This weekend the entire HH Comet wrestling team traveled to Fowlerville Scrambles for Varsity, Girls and JV. Varsity had 15 team and HH placed 7th with 6 varsity kids wrestling. AJ Fielder (138#) went 4-0 took 1st and brought home the lower weight most outstanding wrestler. Austyn Hocter (215#) went 5-0 and took 1st, beating the #3 ranked D2 Fowlerville wrestler. Freshman Nick Thomas (190#) went 2-3 and brought home a 4th place, Senior Reed Matthews (285#) went 2-3 and took 6th place, Junior Slade Feller (165#) went 0-1 got hurt during the match, could not continue and took 8th place, Senior Bristen Cekander (132#) went 0-4 and finished in 10th place. The Comets hosted Montrose Saturday night in a non-conference matchup for the Carl Lee Invitational at Albion College. The Comets got out to a fast and aggressive start Jumping ahead 11-3. The Comets continued with physical, stifling defense and mixed in sharp execution offensively to grow the lead at half to 39-13. The Comets held off the second half push by the Rams and continued their balanced attack the rest of the game and winning by the score of 75-40. It was a total team effort on both sides of the ball! The Comets had four in double-digit scoring for the second night in a row. They were led by Brodey Bially with 22 pts, Tyler Harris added 17pts 4 rebounds, Jake Weir with 12 pts 10 rebounds 4 assists, and JJ Russ with 11 pts 6 rebounds and 3 assists. The Comets Travelled to Homer on Friday night looking to bounce back from a conference loss to Columbia Central. The Comets were in a battle early on but were able to generate a lead by speeding up the tempo on the game and getting some easy transition buckets. After a little let up before half, the Comets were able to catch fire in the 3rd ballooning the lead to over 20. The Comets held on dispite a late surge from Homer and won by the score of 85-72. The Comets were led by Brodey Bially with 33 pts 6 rebounds and 3 assists, JJ Russ with 13 pts 6 rebounds, Blake Griffis with 12 pts 5 assists, Cameron Sherwood with 10 pts 6 rebounds, and Tyler Harris with 9 pts 9 rebounds. The Comets (1-2) next action is Tomorrow night as they travel to Albion College to play a tough Montrose team in a non conference clash.

The Hanover Girls Varsity Bowling got a big win today 30-0 with a very hard fought match on tough lane conditions. Charlie Warden and Liz Curry were our top scorers. In individuals, the girls won 10 matches losing none. The Boys Varsity did not fair so well losing 21-9. Tough lane conditions made it a rough go for both sides. Both Baker matches and Individuals split their matches winning 1 baker a piece and 5 individual matches a piece. Leslie had the edge in total pinfall giving them the win. -Coach Valentine
