3rd in the State and a State Champion--What a Weekend!

This past weekend, your Comet wrestling season came to a close at the MHSAA Individual State Finals.  Senior Captain AJ Fielder went 4-1,  putting him 3rd in the state.  His only loss was to the eventual state champ.  What an awesome season and high school career.  AJ ends his high school career with a 174-25 record with 104 pins.  We look forward to watching his college career start at Davenport University next year.  Sophomore Austyn Hocter went into the individual state tournament as the #2 seed, but pinned his way to the top of the podium.  He pinned every opponent in the first period, including his finals match against Clinton.  He becomes Hanover-Horton's first ever Sophomore State Champion.  Congratulations Austyn on an amazing season!--Coach Fielder
