The Comet Cross Country team ran at the MSU Invite on Friday. This was the biggest meet of the season so far, and the Comets showed up ready to compete.  After watching a couple of our former teammates, Judy Rector and Dean Reynolds compete in their college races, the boys varsity team kicked off the 1st of 3 races for the Comets. The boys ran tough throughout their race, and in the end the team finished in 3rd place taking home a Spartan head trophy! Additionally, we had 4 medalists and 2 runners who set season records. The varsity girls ran in the 2nd of 3 races for the Comets. The team finished in 12th place with 2 medalists and 2 season record setters. The JV Boys ran the third and final race for the Comets in the heat of the day. After waiting all day to run, the coaches were impressed with the efforts that the JV Boys displayed on the course.   Medalists: Landen Boulis (4) Cooper Flick (7) Zach Hassenzahl (16) Chad Tyson (28)   Maisey Toteff (16) Brynlee Swihart (25)   Season Records Set By: Wyatt Hassenzahl Grant Bulgrien Ava Schnell Ella Bulgrien (26 sec. PR from last season!)   It was a great day for competition! Great job to all!    Full results can be found here: https://www.athletic. net/CrossCountry/meet/236328/ info ...
