The 7th grade girls basketball team traveled to Leslie, and came home with a win. The team dominated the boards, ripping down a total of 37 team rebounds. Bella Crabtree led the way with 10 rebounds. She also scored 25 points, had 3 steals and 1 assist. Hadley Elbert played very aggressively on the boards ripping down 7, stealing the ball 4 times and getting 1 assist. Kalin Gorton was on fire in the first quarter making all of her shots and scoring 10 for the night. She also had 3 rebounds, 4 steals and 1 assist. Jordan Tiffany had excellent court vision, giving out five assists, stealing the ball twice, scoring 5 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Madison Beaton rarely came out of the game, defended her player well and pulled down 7 boards. Kendall Bevier guarded their best player and scored 2 points, gave out 2 assists, stole the ball 3 times and snagged 2 rebounds. It was a very fun win on the road. The final score was 42-17. The Comets have their last game at home on Tuesday versus Grass Lake.
