The 7th grade girls basketball team battled against a very athletic Columbia Central squad tonight and lost. The girls never gave up and pushed themselves to give more than they thought they had. Kendall Bevier had 4 points and 3 rebounds. Jordyn Tiffany scored 2 and had an assist and a rebound. Kaylin Gordon made the first Comet bucket of the game and grabbed 5 rebounds along with 1 steal. Madison Beaton hustled and played tough under the basket. Hadley Elbert was aggressive, scoring off of a free throw and getting 3 rebounds. Bella Crabtree had 5 buckets (10 pts) and 4 boards.
They face the Blackhawks at Leslie on Thursday.
