Big First Inning Leads Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets Past Michigan Center Varsity Cardinals

Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets scored 10 runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Michigan Center Varsity Cardinals 16-1 on Wednesday. Alexyn DuBois singled, scoring one run, Halle Swihart tripled, scoring one run, Amanda Ley singled, scoring one run, Tori King singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Ava Smith singled, scoring one run, DuBois tripled, scoring two runs, and Swihart doubled, scoring one run.
Michigan Center Varsity Cardinals got on the board in the first inning after Lilly Nutt singled, scoring one run.

Amanda Ley Leads Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets Past Michigan Center Varsity Cardinals

Amanda Ley was dominant in the circle, as the starting pitcher rang up 10 strikeouts in Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets's 11-3 victory over Michigan Center Varsity Cardinals on Wednesday. Ley allowed four hits and three runs over seven innings while walking none.
Michigan Center Varsity Cardinals got on the board in the first inning after Lilly Nutt homered to left field, scoring three runs.
Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets tied the game in the top of the second thanks to a single by Holly Zantop, and an error.
A home run to left field by Ley gave Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets the lead, 6-3, in the top of the third.
Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets added four more runs in the top of the sixth inning on five hits. Alexyn DuBois homered to center field, scoring three runs, and Ley singled, scoring one run.
Rylie Anderson took the loss for Michigan Center Varsity Cardinals. The right-handed pitcher went seven innings, allowing 11 runs (eight earned) on 16 hits, striking out six and walking one.
