Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets Secure Win Against Bronson

Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets were victorious against Bronson 4-2 on Thursday.

Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets got on the board in the first inning after Halle Swihart homered to left field, scoring two runs.

Kailynne Scare hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the second for the Bronson.

Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets added one run in the third. Swihart stole home, making the score 3-1.

Lydia Wells hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the fourth for the Bronson.

Alexyn DuBois earned the win for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking one. Madison Shaw took the loss for Bronson. The hurler went two and one-third innings, surrendering three runs on seven hits, striking out none and walking one.

Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets accumulated 12 hits in the game. Swihart drove the middle of the lineup, leading Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-3 on the day. Swihart, Ava Smith, Bryn Biela, DuBois, and Amanda Ley each collected two hits for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets. Ley stole two bases.
