Runs Hard To Come By In Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets Win Versus Bronson

Both teams were strong in the circle on Thursday, but Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets defeated Bronson 2-0. Alexyn DuBois started the game for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets and recorded 21 outs.

 

Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at zero in the bottom of the sixth when DuBois homered to left field, scoring two runs.

 

DuBois earned the win for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking none. Ashlynn Harris took the loss for Bronson. The starter went six innings, surrendering two runs on three hits, striking out 15 and walking two.

 

DuBois provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-2 on the day.

 

Kailynne Scare led Bronson with one hit in two at bats. Bronson were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Lydia Wells had the most chances in the field with 15.

Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets Secure Win Against Bronson

Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets were victorious against Bronson 4-2 on Thursday.

 

Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets got on the board in the first inning after Halle Swihart homered to left field, scoring two runs.

 

Kailynne Scare hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the second for the Bronson.

 

Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets added one run in the third. Swihart stole home, making the score 3-1.

 

Lydia Wells hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the fourth for the Bronson.

 

Alexyn DuBois earned the win for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking one. Madison Shaw took the loss for Bronson. The hurler went two and one-third innings, surrendering three runs on seven hits, striking out none and walking one.

 

Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets accumulated 12 hits in the game. Swihart drove the middle of the lineup, leading Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-3 on the day. Swihart, Ava Smith, Bryn Biela, DuBois, and Amanda Ley each collected two hits for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets. Ley stole two bases. Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets stole five bases in the game. Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets turned one double play in the game.

 

Braelynn Ginence, Ashlynn Harris, Scare, and Wells each collected one hit for Bronson. Scare and Wells each drove in one run for Bronson.

 

Next up for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets is a game against Jonesville on Monday.
