On Dec 3rd the Comets travelled to Grass Lake in the conference opener. The Comets took the lead early in the game but found themselves tied going into the 4th quarter. The Warriors offensive rebounding was too much for the Comets to handle as they took advantage of second chance opportunities in the 4th. With 30 seconds to go and the Comets down 2, they couldn't capitalize on some offensive opportunities leading into having to foul. The warriors held off the Comets by making Free throws and winning by the score 53-48. The comets were led by luke Soper with23 pts & 13 rebounds, Jerry linabury added 6pts and Brady Tamblyn with 5.
