On Dec 7th the Comets hosted the Marshall Redhawks at Albion college for the Carl E. Lee memorial tournament.   After getting knocked down early the Comets were able top settle in and make the game a battle.  The Comets found themselves down as many as 18 in the 3rd quarter when they decided to turn up the pressure.  Generating pts off of turnovers and taking advantage of free throws the comets were able to fight back into the game late.   After cutting the deficit to 1 with a little over a minute left in the game the Comets were not able to get over the hump as the Redhawks were able to hold them off and win by the score of 62-60. the Comets were led by Luke Soper with 34 pts and 7 rebounds, JJ Russ chipped in 7 points and 5 rebounds,  and Brody Bially with 6 points off the bench.  The Comets dropped to (1-3) on the year after another close loss late.  They will be looking to get back on track in their true home Opener Wednesday Dec 11th as the East Jackson Trojans come to the Barn!
