The Comet Cross Country team ran at the Hillsdale Invite on Wednesday. While it was another warm meet, the Comets came prepared to take on the course at Owen's Park, and between the 2 races, most of the team showed time improvements from last week's meet at Meckley's. 

On the boys side, 7 athletes placed in the top 20 to bring home a medal. These 7 included Landon Boulis (1st), Cooper Flick (5th), Zach Hassenzahl (11th), Blake Griffis (14th), Chad Tyson (15th), Wyatt Hassenzahl (16th), and Tyler Harris (19th). The team's performance brought home a second place trophy finishing with 46 points, behind Hillsdale Academy's 34 points.

On the girls side, they too had many medalists including Maisey Toteff (5th), Reyna Collins (14th), Kennedy Bugbee (17th), and Delainey Cottrell (20th). Finishing with a total of 77 points the girls also came home with a second place trophy behind Hillsdale Academy's 33 points.

The cross country team will next travel to Springport for the Springport Invite on Wednesday, September 4th.
