Comets are State Bound! We had an amazing meet yesterday and the Comets were here to qualify and break some records!

Overall at our Regionals, the girls placed 8th out of 15 teams with 45 points and the boys placed 6th with 54 points.

Top 8 in each event medaled. Our medalists include:

Cooper Flick - 7th in the 3200m with a HUGE PR that is 2nd fastest ever for an HH freshman (10:19.70)

STATE QUALIFIERS Sophie Reynolds, Brynlee Swihart, Ava Schnell, Liv Perrine - 2nd place in the 4x800m (10:09.61)

Tracy Ackley - 4th place in the discus (99' 7)

Overall, the boys had 9 PRs and 1 SR.

The girls had 5 PRs and 2 SRs.

We also have some shout-outs to give!

Graham Gumper's PR in the 200m toughens his #2 spot in the H-H Hall of Fame.

Zach Hassenzahl's PR in the 800m brought him to #10.

Landen Boulis is now 8th in the 3200 record book with his PR.

Sophie Reynolds toughened her #2 ranking with her PR in the 200m.

Sophie's PR in the 800m also jumped her up to #2 in the 800m Hall of Fame as well.

Liv Perrine's outstanding 1600m brings her to #6 on the record board.

Reyna Collins had an amazing event in the 100m Hurdles and is only 0.05 seconds away from getting onto the record board.

Mae Gaeta had a career best in long jump, Shelby Miller PR'd by continuing to tease the 3min mark in the 800, and Grant Bulgrien ran his best times in both hurdle races.

JJ Russ, Jaxon Johnson, David Fielder, and AJ Fielder crushed the record in the 4x100 Relay!

The State Championship Meet will be held at Kent City on June 1 but our next meet will be on Tuesday for our Conference Championships!
