Boys/Girls Middle School Track vs. Multiple Opponents

The Middle School Track and Field team of the Lady Comets traveled to Concord and dominated the competition. They achieved an impressive 2nd place as a team. The standout moments of the event included the 1st place finish by the 4x800 team, consisting of Ellie Swihart, Collins DeGlee, Carly Boyk, and Maisey Toteff. This relay team has now qualified for both Regionals and the Mega Meet. Additionally, Braelynn showcased her talent by securing 2nd place in the 55 hurdles and delivering an outstanding performance in another event, where she claimed 1st place. The 4x200 relay team, composed of Taylor Dick, Jaila Stephens, Georgia Addleman, and Ava Smith, also performed exceptionally well, securing 2nd place and achieving a personal record. Maisey Toteff finished the regular season undefeated in the mile. She also finished 2nd in the 800 and achieved a personal record in the 800 ( 2:43.11 ) , and in the mile ( 5:57.35 ) , respectively. Ava Smith achieved 3rd place in the 200m dash, completing it in a time of 29.09. Ellie Swihart achieved a personal record in the 3200m, finishing with a time of 13:24.24. In the final running event, the 4x400 team (Collins, Ellie, Carly, and McKenzie) secured 3rd place with a time of 5:03.69. Moving onto the field events, Bella achieved 2nd place in Shot put with a throw of 28' 06". Taylor Dick jumped an impressive 13'7.50" and secured 2nd place. Ava Smith claimed 1st place in Pole vault, clearing a height of 6'0", while McKenzie secured 3rd place with a height of 5'06". Several girls have punched their tickets to compete at the Regional and Mega Meet, so stay tuned for their remarkable performances representing our Lady Comets. The girls had an exceptional season, finishing with a perfect 4-0 record in our Conference. Great Job, Ladies!!!

 

The Boy's Middle School Track Team competed at the Bumpa's Middle School Track Invite, hosted by Concord. The Boy's team took home the team plaque with a score of 198.

The Field events were led by Harris and Pond taking 1st and 3rd in the High Jump. Glover took 2nd in Shot Put, Lowry was 1st in Long jump with Cook taking 5th. Griffis, Swihart and Dubois went 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Pole Vault.

The running events started with the 4x800m Relay team of Marshall, Harris, Beach, and Hassenzahl taking 1st. Pond took 1st in the 55m Hurdles. Hocter took 1st in the 100m with a new school record of 11.98. The Relay team of Griffis, Johnson, Dubois and Keeler finished 4th in the 4x200m Relay. Harris and Marshall went 1st and 2nd in the 1600m. The 4x100m Relay was run by Lowry, Griffis, Pond and Hocter finishing 1st with a new school record of 49.51. Cottrell finished 6th in the 400m followed by Hassenzahl, Beach, and Jurasek going 1st, 2nd and 5th in the 800m. Hocter, Keeler, and Dubois went 1st, 3rd, and 5th in the 200m Hurdles. Lowry took 2nd in the 200m. Marshall, Hassenzahl, Jurasek, and Herendeen went 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th in the 3200. The team of Cook, Swihart, Cottrell, and Beach finished the meet with a 2nd place finish in the 4x400m.

Overall it was a great meet for Hanover.
