The seventh grade girls basketball team played Homer last night for the first game of the season. Despite a lot of hustle and effort, the girls lost 18 to 28.  Points were spread among five players Kendall Bevier had 2 Courtnee Ackley had 2. JordanTiffany scored 6.  Hadley Elbert  scored 2 and Bella Crabtree scored four.  Georgia Adelman and Hadlie Elbert both had eight rebounds a piece while Bella Crabtree pulled down nine. Kaylin Gorton helped with two steals and three rebounds. McKenna Owens played some gritty defense and Madison Beaton helped out by boxing out and hustling on the court.  The team plays at home versus Vandercook Lake on Wednesday.

The 8th girls basketball team opened the season with a win against Homer. The Comets strong defense and quick offense resulted in a 42-18 win over the Trojans.

- Maisey Toteff led scoring with 11 points and added 3 rebounds and 2 steals.
- Ava Smith had 6 rebounds, 6 steals and 9 points.
- Taylor Dick led the rebounding effort with 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 points.
- Carly Boyk had 8 points and a steal
- Jaila Stephens had 5 rebounds and 6 points

A HUGE team win and scoring effort.

The girls take on Vandercook Lake on Wednesday at Home.
