8th Grade Recap: 
Our 8th grade team experienced its first loss of the season in a 16-42 bout against the Eagles. The Eagles got off to a quick start and first half, and our Comets held them to single digit quarters to end the game. Despite getting into early foul trouble, our team never gave up. 

7 of 9 players scored for the Comets including: 
- Collins deGlee with 3 points. 
- Lainey Rudolph with her first THREE POINTER of the season! 
- Taylor Dick played strong defense and put up two points
- Maisey Toteff had two points
- McKinzie Fox added in a free throw
- Ava Smith had 3 points 
- Raina Jacobson was strong underneath the hoop and had a put back for 2. 
- Additionally, Ashlynn Manning had her strongest defensive game of the season and Carly Boyk crashed the boards and help keep the ball moving. 

Middle school heads to Homer on Wednesday to take on the Homer Trojans for the second time this season. 7th grade starts at 4:30 with 8th grade following.

 The seventh grade girls basketball team fell to Columbia Central tonight 26 to 42. Despite having a flat first half and getting behind by a large deficit, the Comets actually out scored the Golden Eagles in the second half by three points.  Game stats include:

Georgia Addleman- 10 rebounds, 1 steal

Hadley Elbert- 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 points

Bella Crabtree- 8 rebounds, 14 points

Kendall Bevier- 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 3 assists, 6 points

Courtnee Ackley- 1 rebound, 1 steal, 1 point

McKenna Owens- 1 steal, 2 points

Madison Beaton-  1 rebound

Kaylin Gorton- 1 rebound, 1 assist

Jordyn Tiffany- 2 rebounds, 1 steal
