The 7th grade girls basketball team celebrated a come from behind victory at Jonesville tonight. Stand out player of the game was Madison Beaton, who made a vital free throw and pulled down a rebound and put it back to score giving H-H the go ahead lead in the 4th quarter. Your Lady Comets were behind until the 3rd quarter, and then it was neck and neck when the team finally pulled away led by Georgia Adelman who scored 14 points had 13 rebounds and 6 steals. Jordan Tiffany showed her leadership on the floor by scoring 12, having 3 steals, and a rebound. Bella Crabtree also scored 7, pulled down 11 tough rebounds and had 2 blocks. Kendall Bevier scored 5 points by driving to the hoop or making free throws along with having two steals. Hadley Elbert’s hustle got her 2 points, 5 awesome steals and rebounds. Makenna Owens always shows up on defense and tonight was no different. She had 2 steals and a rebound. Kaylin Gorton had the job of guarding their best player and she had 4 steals and 1 rebound. The final score was 43 to 36. The win improves their record to 6-3.
