The Hanover Horton Varsity Volleyball Team hosted a quad Tuesday night against Vandercook Lake High School and Addison High School. The Comets continue to remain undefeated in their conference.
The Lady Comets faced Vandercook Lake first and won in 3 sets (25-8, 25-7, 25-12). Morgan Kuhl and Chelsea Russ both had 8 kills a piece and Maggie Soper and Mollie Barber had 6 kills a piece. Quinn Knoblauch went 16 for 16 at the service line with 8 aces. Molly Soper led with 19 assists. Maddie Jordon contributed 8 digs for the Comets.
The Lady Comets then faced Addison High School and won in 3 sets (25-12, 25-12, 25-13) after a 40 minute break due to a tornado warning in the area. The Lady Comets came out with fire and worked hard as a team despite having a 40 minute break in the first set. Chelsea Russ led the Comets with 11 kills. Morgan Kuhl and Maggie Soper had 7 kills a piece. Quinn Knoblauch had 5 aces and 12 assists. Molly Soper contributed 16 assists for the Comets. Mollie Barber led defensively with 12 digs.
The Comets will travel to the D3/D4 Showdown this Saturday.

Maddie Jordon had 13 digs and went 12 for 12 at the service line with 2 aces. Morgan Kuhl contributed 5 kills and 2 blocks. Molly Soper added 10 assists and Quinn Knoblauch added 14 assists for the Comets.
The Lady Comets fell to Tecumseh in 2 (22-25, 13-25). Brynn deGlee had 5 kills and 6 digs. Maggie Soper had 4 kills and 3 blocks for the Comets. Molly Soper contributed 5 assists and 6 digs and Quinn Knoblauch contributed 7 assists and 6 digs.
The Lady Comets will travel to Jonesville on Tuesday.
The Lady Comets traveled to Manchester for a Conference League Quad. The Lady Comets defeated Manchester in 4 (25-22, 13-25, 25-22, 25-16). Brynn deGlee came alive tonight and led the Lady Comets with 15 kills, 17 for 17 at the service line with 4 aces, and 17 digs. Morgan Kuhl was a force at the net with 6 blocks. Chelsea Russ had 12 kills, 20 digs, and 3 blocks. Molly Soper had 26 assists and 15 digs for the Lady Comets.
The Lady Comets then faced Napoleon and won in 3 (25-12, 25-18, 25-22). Brynn deGlee led the Lady Comets with 16 kills and 11 digs. Maggie Soper added 5 kills and went 15 for 15 at the service line with 2 aces. Chelsea Russ had 8 kills and 17 digs. Morgan Kuhl contributed 7 kills and 2 blocks, while Molly Soper had 23 assists.
The Lady Comets will travel to Clinton on Thursday for a Tri Match with Clinton and Tecumseh.

Varsity:
Hanover Horton defeated Concord at their home opener in 3 sets (25-13, 25-21, 25-19). The Lady Comets came out strong and defended their home court. Brynn deGlee dominated the net with 10 kills. Maggie Soper added 7 kills for the Comets and Mollie Barber had 6 kills. Quinn Knoblauch had 15 assists and 10 digs. Molly Soper had 9 assists and 10 digs.
Junior Varsity:
The JV Lady Comets won their home opener (all 3 games) against Concord last evening. On the season, the JV Lady Comets have an overall record of 4-1-1.
Hanover-Horton attended the Chelsea Bulldog Varsity Invitational on Saturday and finished 2nd overall. The Lady Comets fought long and hard throughout the entire day. Hanover went 10-4 for the day, beating Milan (25-23, 25-10), Monroe (25-17, 25-22), and splitting with Coldwater (25-22, 22-25) in pool play. Hanover beat Gabriel Richard (25-11, 25-19) in the quarterfinals and Grass Lake (25-22, 23-25, and 15-4) in the semifinals. The Comets lost to Milan in the finals 14-25, 25-23, and 16-18.
Chelsea Russ had 41 kills and 35 digs, while Mollie Barber had 22 kills and 45 digs. Morgan Kuhl had 21 kills and 6 blocks, while Maggie Soper had 15 kills and 4 blocks. Brynn deGlee had 22 kills and 3 blocks, while Quinn Knoblauch had 59 assists and 43 digs. Molly Soper had 39 assists and 38 digs. Maddie Jordon had 34 digs and Maddy Sauber had 28 digs.
The Lady Comets next game will be on Tuesday with the JV playing at 5:00 with varsity to follow. Hope to see you there!
