Hanover Horton traveled to Grass Lake on Thursday night. The Lady Comets battled hard against Grass Lake taking home the win in 5 sets (19-25 19-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-12). The Lady Comets played with resilience and heart. Chelsea Russ led the team with 23 kills, 2 blocks, and 19 digs. Hadlie Barber went 17 for 18 at the service line with 2 aces and had 19 digs. Maddy Sauber played relentless defense with 23 digs. Morgan Kuhl contributed 13 kills and 3 blocks. Natalee Krage led the Comets with 42 assists, 2 blocks, and 17 digs.

The JV Lady Comets swept Grass Lake in 3 sets (25-13, 25-11, 15-13). Molly Soper led the Comets going 14 for 15 at the service line,  11 digs, 12 assists, and 3 kills. Maddie Jordon had 4 kills, 5 digs, and went 8 for 8 at the service line with 4 aces. Maggie Soper had 8 kills for the Comets.

The Comets will face East Jackson on 9/6/2023 at home.
