Hanover Horton traveled to Bedford on Saturday for the Bedford Spooktacular Volleyball Invitational. The Lady Comets played with heart and resilience. The Lady Comets battled hard in pool play defeating Woodhaven (25-23 25-21), split with Trenton (16-25, 25-19), and fell short to Stevenson (22-25, 20-25). The Lady Comets finished 7th out of 14 coming out of pool play placing them in the Silver Bracket. The Lady Comets defeated Woodhaven in the Semi-Finals (25-14, 25-22) and fell short to Manchester (20-25, 17-25) in the finals. The Lady Comets finished 8th overall.

For the day, Chelsea Russ led the Comets with 42 kills, 3 blocks, and 32 digs. Hadlie Barber went 43 for 50 at the service line with 3 aces and 51 digs. Morgan Kuhl contributed 18 kills and 10 blocks. Natalee Krage had 89 assists, 4 blocks, and 30 digs.

The Lady Comets will play on Wednesday at Concord in District Semi-Finals.
