Last night the Hanover Horton Middle School Cross Country teams competed at the 2nd Cascades Conference West Jamboree, hosted by Jonesville. It was a cooler windy day perfect for racing!
The Boys' team took first place with a score of 15 points. Everett Marshall was first with an 11:21 followed by Eli Jurasek at 11:52. Jase Herendeen was 5th with a 12:21, Austin Toteff was 7th with a 12:31. Carson Poegel was 16th and Benson Wolf was 24th for our pushers, both with personal records. Billy Curey 26th, Keegan Akers 34th, Santos Dinius 36th, Judah Curtis 45th, and Lucas Meyers 52nd also ran personal bests. Don't forget to congratulate the boys on winning their conference division!
The girls' team came in second to Jonesville, 35 to 23. They had an amazing day for a small and young team. All girls ran their personal records. Ellie Swihart won with a time of 12:26. Lauren Bulgrein was 9th with a 14:27, Emery Day was 14th with a 14:59, and Harper Blanton finished 18th with a 15:03. Mikayla Burt was 42nd, Teresa Bradley was 46th, and Karlyanne Oneill was 49th.
We race again this Saturday at Hudson which is looking to be a great day.
