The JV Comets faced Leslie at home tonight and pulled out the victory 2-1. The Comets started strong winning a tight first set 25-23 and then finding their groove in the second set winning 25-14. The girls took their foot off the gas a little in the third set falling down 6points facing game point 8-14 in the third and fought all of the way back to tie the set 16-16 led by a tough serving run from Ava Smith. The girls had some GREAT defensive rallies and huge digs that kept them in the match. However, the Comets dropped the third set as Leslie hit cap at 17 and won the 1 point victory 17-16 in the third but your Comets won the match over all.
