JV Comets hosted Adrian Madison and Lenawee Christian for the annual pink night honoring cancer survivors. The comets first faced Adrian Madison and started very strong winning in straight the first set 25-10 and then faced tough serves falling down 0-8 in the second set but fought all of the way  back to get the 25-20 victory in the second. 

 They faced a very talented LCS team for their second match but came out ready to battle. Strong serving and scrappy defense helped the comets win the first set 25-17. LCS fought back in the second set though and a sloppy second set caused the comets to drop the second set 20-25 forcing a 3rd deciding set. LCS again brought some tough serves and the comets fell down 0-5 before they regrouped and fought back! The comets trailed the entire 3rd set until tough serving and relentless defense helped them battle point by point and tied it up 13-13. The final 2 points were an Ace serve by Abbi Wentworth and a HUGE stuff block from Carly Boyk and Ava Smith for match point to put the exclamation on a GREAT battle against a tough LCS team. I could not be more proud of the grit and determination of this young team.
